Varda runs on a server or mini-PC you control, in your jurisdiction. Your records never leave it; only a short licence check-in (user counts, version and licence status) does. Installs in minutes with the desktop app or Docker, and a secure remote link lets field crews reach it from anywhere with no ports to open.

Is it really priced by team size, not per user?
Yes. You pick a plan for your team size and the whole platform is included. Add your entire crew within your band and the bill doesn't move.
What happens if we outgrow our plan?
Move up to the next size whenever you're ready. There's no data migration and nothing to re-buy; everything you set up carries over.
Are any features locked to higher plans?
No. Every module is on every plan. The only thing that changes between plans is how many people can sign in.
Can we run it on our own servers?
Yes. Self-hosting is core to Varda and available on every plan, not just Enterprise. Your records stay on your own infrastructure, in your jurisdiction, at any team size.
Can Varda host it for us instead?
Yes, on request. We host a private instance for you, with your data kept separate from every other customer. Hosting is quoted alongside your licence.
What does the licence check-in send?
Every 15 minutes your server reports user counts, the software version and licence status. Never your records, forms or staff details.
How does billing work?
Licences are billed annually by size band: one predictable price covering your whole team within that band, every feature included. Onboarding, data migration and premium support are optional and billed separately.
Is there a public reporting portal?
Yes. A public "report an issue" portal with reference numbers and email updates is included on every plan, with your branding, in English and French.
